一、love

2、用法

love的基本意思是“爱恋，热爱，喜欢”，指某人特别喜爱某人、某物或做某件事情。还可引申表示对某人、某物的敬拜或以仁爱之心对待某事。不仅表示强烈的喜欢，而且表示炽热的依恋。用于能激起高尚情感的人或事。love有时也用于不太重要的事物，是like的强势语。

love可用作及物动词，也可用作不及物动词。用作及物动词时，可接名词、代词、动词不定式或动名词作简单宾语，还可接以动词不定式充当补足语的复合宾语。可用于被动结构。

His love for science will never die.

二、because

1、含义：conj. 因为；由于。

2、用法

because的基本意思是“因为”，强调直接造成某种结果的理由和原因，所引导的原因状语从句多置于主句之后，有时为了强调，也可置于主句之前，并用逗号与句子的其他部分隔开。

because还可用来引导让步状语从句，这时，通常用于否定句或疑问句中。

because有时还可引导表语从句。because可用于强调句。

I bought the house simply because it was large.

我购买了这房子，只是因为它面积大。

三、you

1、含义：pron. 你；你们；(泛指)任何人。

2、用法

you是第二人称代词，意为“你，您，你们”，用作主语或宾语或用于介词之后，也可单独使用。

you也可与名词或形容词连用，用于生气地称呼某人时，作“你这个，你们这些”解。

I shall await you at seven-thirty or thereabouts.

四、but

1、含义：conj. 但是。prep. 除 ... 以外。adv. 仅仅；只。pron. 无不。

2、用法

but的基本意思相当于in spite of this或表示与所预料的不一样，意为“但是，然而，尽管如此”，不与though，although连用。

but可用来表达诸如愤怒、吃惊等强烈的感情，用来加强语气，也可用在表示歉意的句子里，常不译出，还可用于改变话题，意为“无论如何”“反正”“好”。

如果but接动词不定式，当前面有do或cannot时,不定式不带to；当前面有anything，everything，nothing等词时，不定式常不带to，但也有例外； 其余情况带to。

五、with

1、含义：prep. 用；随着；包括；和 ... 一起。

2、用法

with表示状态时，还可作“跟上…”“听懂…的话”解，一般用于疑问句或否定句中。

with表示关系时还可作“与…合并〔混合，组合〕”解。

with表示伴随状态时，作“以与…同样的方向〔程度，比率〕”解。可接“名词+动词不定式”“名词+现在分词”“名词+过去分词”。
