喜鵲:
喜鵲是自古以來深受人們喜愛的鳥類,是好運與福氣的象徵,農村喜慶婚禮時最樂於用剪貼「喜鵲登枝頭」來裝飾新房。喜鵲登梅亦是中國畫中非常常見的題材,它還經常出現在中國傳統詩歌、對聯中。此外,在中國的民間傳說中,每年的七夕人間所有的喜鵲會飛上天河,搭起一條鵲橋,引分離的牛郎和織女相會,因而在中華文化中鵲橋常常成為男女情緣

孔雀:
在傣族人民的心目中,孔雀是最善良、最聰明、最愛自由與和平的鳥,是吉祥幸福的象徵。在希臘神話中,孔雀象徵赫拉女神。 在中國和日本,孔雀被視為優美和才華的體現。 對於佛教徒和印度教徒來說孔雀是神聖的,它們是神話中「鳳凰」的化身,象徵著陰陽結合以及和諧的女性容貌。

諺語是人類智慧的結晶,是富於色彩的語言形式,它同文學作品、詩歌一樣是語言的精華,一般具有生動形象、喻義明顯、富於哲理的語言特徵。在一定程度上,英語諺語反映了英語民族的文化特點。英語諺語源遠流長,它既有民間流傳的諺語,又有來自《聖經》的、來自莎士比亞作品的和來自《伊索寓言》的,還有很多外來諺語。英語諺語中有許多有關動物的諺語,本人收集了以下幾條:

1.Bird

(1) Kill two birds with one stone. 一箭雙雕;一舉兩得。
(2) A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. 雙鳥在林不如一鳥在手。
(3) Birds of a feather flock together. 物以類聚,人以群分。
